SAS provides high-quality sheltering services for the homeless pets of Lemhi County.

Join a community of animal lovers who believe every pet deserves safety, dignity, and love. As a Friend of the Shelter, your support helps us care for animals in need whether it’s an abandoned kitten, a lost dog, or an aging pet whose owner can no longer care for them. Your support means they’ll be met with open arms and a soft place to land.
When you become a Friend of the Shelter, you’ll receive a sticker, insider updates, and invitations to Friends-only events celebrating the animals and people who make this work possible.
Lemhi County Humane Society is a non-profit, charitable 501(c)(3) organization, and your donations are tax-deductible.

✨🐾 Well PARTON our manners… but Miss Dolly is officially AVAILABLE for adoption! 🐾✨
The long-awaited moment is here, and this sweet babe is ready to steal some hearts. Dolly may be a tad shy at first, but give her a little time and you’ll see just how lovely she is. She’s great with other dogs and even cats, tiny in size, and BIG on charm.
We believe Dolly is about 2 years old, and she came to us through no fault of her own—because sometimes life happens, and sometimes it leads to something better 💕
Now here’s the scoop: we don’t think she’ll be here long (because… have you SEEN her). To keep things fair and smooth, approved adoption applications are how we roll—it’s our way of making sure everyone gets an equal shot on a first-come, first-served basis.
