🐾 HOW has Nezzer not been adopted yet?! 🐾

Seriously… we don’t understand it. Nezzer is one of those dogs who makes you wonder how someone hasn’t already scooped him up and taken him home. ❤️

At just over 7 years old, Nezzer is a Border Collie/Cow Dog mix and truly one of the sweetest, most loyal pups you could ask for. He’s friendly, well-trained, fully housebroken, and has the perfect mix of grown-up manners and “LET’S GO DO SOMETHING!” energy.

🎾 And if that something involves a ball? Even better. Nezzer is absolutely ball obsessed and would probably play fetch until your arm fell off… and then politely ask you to use the other one. 😂

He LOVES his people and is the kind of dog who wants to be right there beside you, whether you’re heading out for a hike, working around the property, tossing his favorite ball, or just spending the day together. He’s smart, driven, eager to have a job, and incredibly devoted to the people he trusts.

Nezzer can do well with other dogs and cats, especially calmer, easygoing companions, with slow and thoughtful introductions.

We genuinely don’t know why this boy is still waiting. He has so much love and loyalty to give, and he deserves to finally have someone who looks at him and says, “You’re coming home with me.” 🥹❤️

🐱💕 SO MANY SWEET CATS & KITTENS! 💕

We’ve had so many feline friends become available for adoption this past week that we can barely keep up! Getting photos is tough when everyone would rather make biscuits, crawl into your arms, and soak up the love.

We want to see them all — share your dogs, our shelter alumni, or even the furry friend you found somewhere else in the comments! We don't care where they came from… we just love seeing happy dogs in happy homes. ❤️

Bonus points for sharing a photo of your LCHS alum so we can see how they're doing! We LOVE getting to watch our former shelter pups live their best lives.

🚨 HELP! These kittens have something to say… and apparently, it’s LOUD! 😂🐱

All these adorable faces come with one tiny problem: A LOT OF LAUNDRY. Our washing machine is officially on its last leg, and our shelter is desperately in need of a working washing machine!

Before we purchase a new one, we’re hoping someone may have an older, working machine sitting around that they no longer need. If you have one you’d be willing to donate to Lemhi County Humane Society, please reach out at 208-756-4100!

Our cats and kittens could also use some pâté-style wet food! Wet food is more of a special treat and enrichment for our cats, so we aren’t picky about the specific brand or variety. If it’s pâté, they’ll probably be very happy to help us put it to good use!

If you’d like to donate dry food, please know that we use specific foods for our cats, dogs, and kittens. Since dry food is part of their everyday diet, we stick with the foods that work best for them and helps them avoid unnecessary GI issues.

We’ve included photos of some of our very vocal little laundry producers so you can see exactly who you’re helping! 😹
