Join a community of animal lovers who believe every pet deserves safety, dignity, and love. As a Friend of the Shelter, your support helps us care for animals in need whether it’s an abandoned kitten, a lost dog, or an aging pet whose owner can no longer care for them. Your support means they’ll be met with open arms and a soft place to land.
When you become a Friend of the Shelter, you’ll receive a sticker, insider updates, and invitations to Friends-only events celebrating the animals and people who make this work possible.
Lemhi County Humane Society is a non-profit, charitable 501(c)(3) organization, and your donations are tax-deductible.

Wednesday – Monday 11 am – 5 pm
Closed Tuesdays
Rags & Wags Thrift Store Hours:
Monday – Friday: 8 am – 6 pm
Saturday: 9 am – 6 pm

Every Wednesday in March, The Nook will feature a pasta special. All you have to do is dine out, enjoy a delicious pasta dinner, and know you’re making an impact. A portion of every pasta entree sold will come directly to LCHS to help us keep the tail wags and purrs coming while our furry friends wait to find their forever homes.

These sisters are around 11 months old, husky/german shepherd mixes!

These fun-loving pups are full of youthful energy and potential. They are currently learning their manners and doing wonderfully with their training. Kiwi and Sevy both get so excited to see their people that they may jump up to say hello — they just can’t contain their happiness! With some consistent guidance and a stable, loving home, both of these beautiful ladies are going to blossom into an amazing lifelong companion.
